The ISDE subsidy is applied for via mijn.rvo.nl. You need a DigiD, plus the invoice and specifications of the installed windows. The application must be submitted within 6 months of installation.

Your home must have been built before 2024 to qualify for ISDE subsidy. New-build homes with a recent building permit are excluded as they must already meet stricter insulation requirements.

If you take two or more energy-saving measures within 24 months (e.g. windows + insulation or heat pump), the subsidy amount doubles per measure. This can yield thousands of euros extra.

To apply for subsidy via mijn.rvo.nl, you need a DigiD account. This is a digital identity used to log in to government websites. Don't have DigiD yet? Apply via digid.nl.

New windows with HR++ or triple glass can improve your home's energy label by 1 to 2 steps. A better energy label increases property value and structurally reduces energy costs.

With your subsidy application, you must upload a detailed invoice with glass specifications (U-value), the number of m², and photos of the installed windows. We ensure you receive all documents.

The subsidy depends on the glass type: HR++ glass (U-value ≤ 1.2) yields €25/m². Triple glass (U-value ≤ 0.7) yields €100/m². The better the insulation value, the higher the subsidy.

HR++ glass is double glazing with a special coating and gas filling (argon). It offers good insulation at a competitive price and qualifies for €25/m² ISDE subsidy.

The Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Savings (ISDE) is a government subsidy for homeowners. The scheme reimburses part of the investment in insulation measures, including windows with HR++ or triple glass.

The government sets an annual budget for ISDE subsidies. In 2025 and 2026, the budget has been increased due to the sustainability focus. It is wise to apply timely, as funds are limited.

Not just the glass, but the complete window including frame can qualify for subsidy, provided the whole meets U-value requirements. This applies to PVC, wood, and aluminium windows.

After submitting your application to RVO, it takes an average of 8 to 13 weeks to receive a decision. After approval, the amount is deposited into your account within a few weeks.

There is no minimum surface area requirement for ISDE subsidy on windows. However, the minimum subsidy amount per application must be €250. For HR++ glass, this means at least 10 m² of glass surface.

In addition to ISDE, the National Insulation Programme exists for homeowners with low income. Municipalities sometimes offer extra subsidies or financing. Check with your municipality for local options.

Besides ISDE, you can use the National Heat Fund for a loan at 0% interest (under conditions). Some municipalities and provinces also offer additional subsidies for insulation.

Triple glazing consists of three glass panes with two insulating cavities. It offers the best insulation (U-value ≤ 0.7) and yields the highest subsidy: €100/m². Ideal for energy-efficient living.

The U-value indicates the thermal transmittance of glass. The lower the U-value, the better the insulation. HR++ glass has a U-value of ≤1.2, triple glass ≤0.7. The U-value determines your subsidy amount.

Key conditions: existing home (built before 2024), owner-occupier, professional installation, minimum €250 subsidy per application, and application within 6 months of installation.

Combine new windows with floor or roof insulation for maximum energy savings. Also install draught strips and consider solar panels. Every extra measure within 24 months doubles your subsidy.
